President: David Amess MP |
 |
David is the Member of Parliament for Southend West. A long-time supporter of the choir, David took over the role of President in July 2002.
"When I was asked to become president of the Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir, I was delighted to accept and flattered that they thought I would be an appropriate person to follow in the footsteps of my colleague, Dr. Michael Clark. Audiences, not only in Essex, but also throughout the country and even abroad, appreciate the quality of this choir. I will endeavour to ensure that the glorious sounds that the choir make are appreciated by an even wider audience.” |
