Why do we attend on a regular basis?
Is it to see again those familiar faces,
Those faces that we have come to know
Of friends that want to say, ‘Hullo’,
Where laughs and banter can be had
And of being just, one of the lads
A chance perhaps to get out at night,
Often much to our wife’s delight,
For they enjoy the chances too
Of doing the things they want to do?
No! Attending choir is none of these things.
We come because we love to sing.
We love all music no matter what,
And really give it all we’ve got.
Also learning something new,
Getting ready for its debut.
Yes, music and singing is in our hearts.
In our lives, it plays a big part.
Whenever the concerts come around
And the hall is filledwith this wonderous sound,
We know our efforts were not in vain
When the audience applaud again and again.
Yes, we are proud to belong to a choir
And especially proud to be
In that fabulous choir,
The LOMVC!
