Believed to be the largest male voice choir in the eastern region and one of the largest in the country, Leigh Orpheus welcomes you to its website. Based near Southend on Sea in Essex, Leigh Orpheus is a friendly choir aiming to bring the joy of singing as a performer to men in the area. They also aim to bring the joy of listening to as many people as possible. They perform many concerts locally and further afield. The choir has recently sung in South Wales, Spain and Poland and has a trip to Italy planned for October 2008.

Sing with Leigh Orpheus

The choir may be big, but it still welcomes applications for new members. They'd love to hear from men whether they've sung before or not. Professional training is given; the musical director is highly skilled in taking ordinary blokes and turning them into a decent choir. Audition the choir! » Invitation to a rehearsal.

Support the choir

Make new friends by getting involved with helping the area's most successful male voice choir. Non singers are welcome and there are many women supporting the choir, too. Find out more about helping out with running the choir...

If you'd prefer just to keep in touch and support the choir financially, please join Friends of Leigh Orpheus.
